How often should I clean my carpets?

Having your carpets cleaned will vary based on several factors, how many people frequent the home, how many pets you have, age of the carpet, and even where you work! As a general guidelines having your carpets cleaned every 6-12 months is ideal for most homes, but it will definitely vary based on your personal needs. This is a great question to ask us in person once we are done cleaning your carpets.

Do you charge extra to remove pet damage?

We love furry friends, which is why small pet treatments are not an extra charge. We know accidents are bound to happen and we do our best to remove these without charging. However, if there is extensive pet damage we will discuss with you prior to service if there’s an additional charge.

How do we pay you?

We accept all forms of payments, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, Cash, Check and all major credit cards (cards do incur a service charge).

Are your products safe for my home?

Absolutely! At Shining Knight Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning, all our cleaning products are Non-carcinogenic, Non-Toxic, and Non-Corrosive. We believe in keeping your home safe and are committed to transparency. Unlike many other companies that hide their product information, we believe you deserve to know exactly what’s being used in your home. Our products are free from harsh chemicals like albuterol, leaving your carpets feeling soft, clean, and safe for your family.

We have tested multiple products and found the safest ones for your home that also get the best results. It’s a win/win! We first receive them in concentrated form, and then properly dilute them so they are safe to use in the home.

We’re so confident in the cleaning agents we use that we’ve listed all the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) right here on our site for you to review. (Keep in mind, all the information on the sheets are for their most concentrated form. As mentioned, we take the proper steps to properly dilute the cleaning agents to specification before they reach your door making them safe to use.)

We take the science of carpet cleaning seriously, selecting only the highest quality products that are both effective and safe.

How much does it cost to clean my carpets?

Our standard price is .35 / sqft for carpet cleaning. We do offer bulk pricing for larger areas, commercial carpets and have package discount deals. Call us and find out what specials we are currently offering!

How much does it cost to clean my couch?

Our couches and sectional pricing follows a baseline of $45 + $35 x the amount of seats.

A standard 3 person couch would be $45 + $35 + $35 + $35 for a total of $150

Chase and Ottomans are $10-$25 each depending on size

How much for tile?

Our tile process is a dual process procedure where we first scrub and agitate the grime off tile, then we do a slow steam extraction. The tile process is a bit more time consuming and cost varies between .85-$1.10 / sqft. This cost can vary based on the type of tile, type of grout and the amount of surface area. We also offer package deals, call us to find out an exact quote!

How long will it take my carpet/couch to dry?

This is a question we answer after every cleaning. It will vary based on the temperature of the day, the time of day the cleaning finished, the type of carpet fiber and how heavily soiled your carpets were prior to cleaning. We do recommend letting there be as much air flow as possible, and trying to stay off the carpets until it’s fully dry. Please do not use towels or blankets to try to absorb moisture as this can damage your carpets from drying properly.

Should I move my furniture? / Will you clean under my (insert heavy item here)?

We don’t recommend re-arranging your rooms prior to a cleaning. We are more than happy to help you relocate basic items on to an area that won’t be cleaned, but we don’t recommend them being placed back on the carpet until is fully dry. Please clear the floor of all small baskets, chairs, vases and other fragile items before our arrival. As far as beds/book cases, desks, go, we will gladly clean around them!
